You Are Setting Goals Incorrectly. Fix Them Now.
Think long-term. Become your goals.
Goals give you a vision of what you want to achieve. They clarify the exact things or experiences you seek.
Successful people set goals and take action. They don’t sit around waiting for their plans to happen themselves. Instead, they live their lives with intention. They know what they want and go after it with everything they have.
How you set your goals significantly impacts the outcome you get.
We’ve all heard that goals must be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound. In other words, you need to set S.M.A.R.T. goals.
It is an excellent approach to setting goals and working towards them.
I talked to one of my dearest friends recently. He says he wants to lose weight because he is getting married in about six months. His goal: To become fit and healthy for his wedding. I’m not a health expert, but I do have some experience in the fitness aspect. So, he asked me for tips to help him lose weight in the next three to six months.
At first, I gave him the usual tips: Focus on your diet, exercise, avoid sugar, quit eating junk food, etc.
