Write So Much They Can’t Ignore You
Here’s how you can get people to find your writing online.
Before I started writing on Medium, I was a reader on the platform. I consumed a lot of content from excellent writers. Reading stories from other writers was helpful. I understood how the platform worked.
While I was a reader, there was one guy whose stories kept coming up almost every day on my feed. I wasn’t even following him, yet I found his articles everywhere. The guy was Mr. Tim Denning. I read his work and found it fascinating. His stories were really helpful.
Along with Tim, there were other great writers whose stories were popular in my news feed. Two years later, I still see Tim’s stories popping into my recommended list.
Why does Medium show Tim’s stories every time I log in to Medium?
The answer is simple: It’s because Tim is a writing machine. He is so focused and disciplined with his work that it is impossible to avoid him.
Writing well isn’t enough.
In today’s highly competitive world, being good isn’t enough. Even if you have the skills, you can’t guarantee success. Your skills must be marketable. People need to be familiar with who you are and what you do. They need to see your work.
