You have to take action if you want to succeed. There’s no doubt in that.

No matter what you do in life, your actions define how successful you will become. So what is it that leads you to take action?

We often believe that inspiration leads us to take action. Inspiration leads us to the motivation to take action. It might be valid to a certain extent. But it is the action that often leads us to inspiration, which leads us to motivation to take even more action. In short, action isn’t just the effect of motivation; it’s also the cause of it. This is the ‘Do Something’ Principle.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck

Before explaining the ‘Do Something’ Principle, I’d like to talk about the book The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson. I’m sure you might have heard of this book. You might have even read it. In that case, the ‘Do Something’ Principle might not be new to you because it is a concept taken from the book.

The title of the book is self-explanatory. However, you can have a misconception about the book if you only judge it based on the title. You might have heard of the saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” Well, in this case, don’t judge it by the title.
