My Story Made $2.87 With Just 12 Views in 24 Hours. (I’m Confused)
What’s up with Medium’s inconsistency with earning distribution?
I’ve been writing on Medium for a long time now. I joined the Partner Program about a year ago. But I never understood how Medium actually pays its writers.
Some say it’s the read ratio that matters. Others say it’s the reading time. I’ve also heard that claps and responses (engagements) impact earnings.
I don’t know how it actually works. (If you know, please share it in the comments below.)
I wrote this story yesterday, and today, it has made $2.87 with only 12 views and 6 reads. It only took 24 hours to generate this amount.
If the number of reads made this impact, then why did the other articles not make a similar amount?
It’s not even close, as you can see in the screenshot.
I don’t understand it.
Now, look at this story I posted at the end of December 2023. It has gotten 121 views, and 84 reads so far.
