You can get away with almost anything in your early twenties — late nights, junk food, or skipping workouts. You can still bounce back the next day.

However, things are different in your thirties. Your body isn’t so forgiving anymore. The little habits you once shrugged off can quietly start chipping away at your health.

I didn’t really notice this until around 31. I pulled an all-nighter to finish a project, something I had done dozens of times in my twenties. But instead of powering through with a coffee and moving on, I felt wrecked for days.

That’s when I realized that the daily activities I was ignoring were starting to add up.
