Am I getting too old?

It was a cold night.

I’ve had a few drinks at the party — my friend’s wedding reception.

I met everyone. I also made some new friends, which is unlike me because I’m not very good at meeting strangers.

Anyway, I had a great time.

It was 9:30 p.m. when the party was over. Everyone said their goodbyes and returned home.

So did I.

Since my home was nearby, I walked alone for 10 minutes on a cold, dark night.

I got home, took off my suit, and freshened up.

I wasn’t ready for bed.

So, I opened my laptop and started working on a draft for my story.

It’s so unlike me. I mean, who returns from a party and starts working late at night?

Am I getting too old? Have I stopped enjoying my life?

Of course not.

At least, I don’t think so.

I thought I was having fun at the party.

But the reality was different. I was only pretending to enjoy it. I didn’t care much.
