I Opened A New Medium Account to Experiment With My Writing — The Results Astonished Me
What I learned writing on two different Medium accounts.
I opened a separate Medium account under a pseudonym a few months ago to experiment with different writing styles.
I kept it private so that I could practice writing. That profile would allow me to write freely without caring about topics, followers, views, and other metrics.
Its only purpose is to experiment and write about whatever I want.
So far, I’ve written about 80 stories on that account and learned so much from it — things I couldn’t do here, on my main profile.
Don’t care what the results say.
I’ve been publishing 3–4 stories weekly, and whenever I write there, I feel free. As I said, I don’t care about the metrics or stats. Because of this, the results have been surprising.
Not caring about the metrics has actually brought more views and followers.
I don’t even care about how I structure my articles or who my target audience is. Instead, I write freely, not giving much attention to the outcomes. I don’t even open the profile until I have to write and publish a story.
