A few days ago, I decided to delete Instagram from my phone.

The reason behind it was to reduce my screen time. I wanted to focus my energy on things that mattered. Instagram was taking a lot of my time, mostly unconsciously.

It was too much for me. So, I decided to delete it from my phone and use it only on my laptop’s web browser.

It was an instant decision.

At first, I kept looking for the app on the home screen a few times. But it wasn’t there. I realized it was gone.

I wasn't sad about it because I didn’t have the urge to use it, even on my laptop.

Twenty-four hours had passed. I only browsed Instagram once.

My screen time decreased significantly, which was my main intention. Also, my productivity increased. I could focus more on my work and not get distracted by reels and stories.

Two days passed, and I was happy with my progress.

Yesterday, I was using my phone and found something shocking.

It turns out I hadn’t actually deleted Instagram from my phone. I had only removed it from the home screen
