A Two-Minute Read to Change Your Life with the Two-Minute Rule
Are you willing to change your life and achieve a lifetime of success?
James Clear, the author of Atomic Habits, wrote about ‘the two-minute rule’ in his book. He says,
“When you start a new habit, it should take less than two minutes to do.”
The idea is to do something for two minutes and then stop doing it. It could be exercising, reading a book, or working on a project.
Why this rule is so powerful?
- It helps you start a new habit.
- It stops procrastination.
- You build a new identity and personality.
- You can do complex things by breaking them and starting small.
- You can achieve big goals with a similar strategy.
I’ve used the two-minute to build consistent habits like exercising, reading, writing in my journal, meditating, and more.
You might feel skeptical about how doing something for only two minutes can make a severe impact. I felt the same when I first read about this rule in James’ blog.
But it works.
