90% of Aspiring Writers Fail Because of This Mistake
Be a content-creating machine and don’t care about anything else.
--
Many new writers complain they don’t get attention. Their articles aren’t going anywhere. Nobody reads their stories. Nobody likes their posts.
They think it’s the algorithm's fault.
They think the platform doesn’t push their work enough.
It keeps them from producing more content because they fear not being seen. They believe it is a waste of time to write and not get recognized.
You focus on the outcome.
The truth is that you care too much about the outcome rather than focusing on your effort.
You are afraid to publish your article because you believe people won’t like it. Or maybe they won’t see it at all. It keeps you from being honest with yourself.
You can’t write what you want.
You fear hitting the publish button.
But that is the opposite of what you should be doing.
Don’t fear feedback and criticism.
When you are starting, you shouldn’t care about what others think about your articles. Don’t focus on whether your story is getting any attention.
Instead, you have to be a content-creating machine. You need to hit publish whether you want to or not.
Your story might not be good, and you might not be satisfied with your work.
But showing up and publishing despite your insecurities is the path you must take.
Otherwise, you will suffer — waiting for people to see and like your post, writing the perfect post, and finding your niche.
“Done” is better than perfect.
Understand this:
Nothing is ever truly finished, only done. And “done” is better than perfect. — Benjamin Hardy
